From Software are letting dark fantasy video games rest for a bit and have turned their sights to sci-fi and mechs again with the sixth main Armored Core.

                                                                                                                         

After the gargantuan success of Elden Ring last year, From Software are back with the sixth mainline Armored Core title, the first entry in the long-running mechs franchise in a decade. With a rebooted story and setting, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon aims to produce a new generation of pilots and re-enlist veterans.

Like in previous installments, players pilot mechs called Armored Cores which can be customized using credits and parts that can be adjusted to better approach a wide variety of combat missions. While the main attraction is a mission-based, single-player story campaign, player-versus-player online multiplayer is making a comeback too.

  n a feat of engineering marvel, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket successfully landed back on Earth after launching 60 Starlink satellites into orbit. This is the 217th successful landing of a Falcon 9 first stage booster, and it brings SpaceX one step closer to its goal of making reusable rockets a reality. The Falcon 9 rocket launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on August 16, 2023. The rocket carried 60 Starlink satellites, which are SpaceX's constellation of internet-beaming satellites. The satellites were deployed into a low Earth orbit, where they will begin providing broadband internet service to customers around the world. After launching the satellites, the Falcon 9 first stage booster re-entered the atmosphere and landed vertically on the SpaceX droneship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean.
